Are You Choosing Security over Pursuing your Dreams?

It has been said, shouted and claimed that people that pursue their dreams (as entrepreneurs) have no financial security because “anything can happen”. Besides that being a false statement when carefully looking into it. There are many reasons why you should be pursuing your dreams NOW. Do what you love, love what you do. Here are the five reasons you should pursue your dream:

  1. Dreams are worth living for

If you are one of the few that actually know what they want, then you can honestly tell yourself right now, that it is worth it. Just imagine how you would feel waking up and doing the thing that you love and get paid for it.

2. Meet other like-minded people

You will meet people that will have the “dream chaser” mindset and this will help you on your journey and expand your horizons. Your network is your net worth.

3. You can be inspiration to others

Once you are heavily investing your time into something that you love and you make small wins, people will be inspired to pursue their dreams as well. This will have a snowball effect on the people that surround you and ultimately this will give you a boost.

4. You can stop doing the work you hate

The alarm clock goes off, you feel groggy and you know that when you step out, you will have to walk into an office to a job you hardly enjoy. Well, goodbye to that when you start packing your bags for your journey. You will not be a billionaire in a month, a year or ten years (but you never know), but you will feel more fulfilled than you probably are now. It is easier said than done, but if you are complaining, you know that deep down, it is not for you.

5.Β  To prove them wrong

Remember those voices that said: “It is impossible” – “You are crazy” – “I don’t think this is a good idea”. There is no better feeling than saying you did it anyway and succeeded.

The main point is that you have more than five reasons to pursue your dreams. People (also family!) might criticize and push you to take steps that you do not want to. It is important to remember why you are doing what you are doing.
