When it comes to personal development and searching for the secrets to success, there is one word that will pop up everywhere, and that word is mindset. It is one thing that distinguishes the people who perform from the people who outperform. Being able to master your own mind and changing the way you think is one of the most important skills to have. But what kind of mindsets should you implement? Here are 6 winner mindsets that will help you boost motivation (remind yourself of these mindsets every day!):
If I am not the best, someone else is
There is nothing wrong with striving to be the best, although you could have the pessimistic view that you will never be number one. One thing is for sure, no one can be the best at being you. Everybody has something unique and no one can take your unique character traits from you. Focus on being the best you and you will see that your motivation will be limitless.
Success is not a sprint
You probably have heard this is a dozen times, but this is a reminder. When push comes to shove, patience is key to building anything. Tony Robbins in his book “Unshakeable” mentions that if you are in it for the long term, there is nothing that can hurt you on a micro level.
Listen, but always think for yourself
It is a great attribute to be able to listen, but at the end of the day you need to make the decision that will eventually influence your life. Einstein had an amazing quote about this subject: “At least once a day, allow yourself the freedom to think and dream for yourself”
Tell people what they need to hear
Be honest to people, it is a gift to them from you. It is a sign you have no problem giving your opinion, and you will not fall victim to sugar coating the truth. This does not mean you need to intentionally hurt people around you, but you can be honest about how things are going and it shows that you are not only striving for improvement yourself but also want people around you to do the same.
No execution = auto lose
You can read everything there is on planet Earth, but if you do not implement the knowledge given by those authors, there is no value in it. A great example of this, is the popularity of the book “Think and Grow Rich”; so many people have read the book, but many of them have yet to implement its contents fully. If execution is your daily meal, then gaining knowledge (reading and speaking to mentors) is a supplement to your daily nutrition.
Think of solving issues
Always think in terms of solutions instead of problems. This way you will always be able to find something you can help people with. Because at the end of the day, it is about helping people live a better life. This should also be the fundamental concept of a business, and that is to help people with a particular problem they might be having. Try looking at your own life for a couple of days and ask yourself what could be made easier that other people might be struggling with as well.
